Ayà by Hapag

Ayà by Hapag is a Filipino bar concept that serves a la carte food, classic cocktails crafted with Filipino ingredients, specialty coffees and wines. The bar expresses and celebrates Filipino tradition and culture through its space, food & beverage, and overall concept.

The objective of this project is to reimagine Ayá’s microsite to educate the audience, showcase Ayá holistically, and emphasize Ayá’s messaging among the users. These objectives were achieved by creating an effective sitemap and well-thought-of design elements to fully introduce the beauty of Ayá’s brand and concept through the website.

In designing the microsite for AYÀ, the team focused on showcasing the food, drinks and space to create an inviting reflection of the bar experience. With minimal Filipino designs, these elements of the bar were highlighted with efficiency and elegance.

Landing Page

The landing page was also strategically built within Hapag Manila’s website, establishing the connection between the restaurant and the bar. With links leading from the AYÀ page to the Hapag website, visitors can easily make reservations and experience the physical interconnectedness of the two spaces.

The Outlook

Working with AYÀ in designing their microsite gave the team an enriching opportunity to practice and celebrate design concepts that revolve around our shared identity as Filipino brands. Overall, it also left us with a question that continues to deepen our understanding of brands who aim to provide value not just in their offerings, but in their space: How can we express the experience of the space in the digital realm?
