An Errand

WEB

An Errand follows a driver sent on a surreal task from Baguio to Manila, where the car becomes a vessel for memory and reflection. This site is a resource for festival programmers, cinephiles, and partners, featuring the trailer, poster, cast and crew details, screening schedules, press coverage, and downloadable assets. Designed to echo the film’s mood and themes, it offers a deeper look into the creative process, critical reception, and journey through the festival circuit.

Design

To translate An Errand’s cinematic tone into a digital experience, the designers began by immersing themselves in the film’s palette, pulling tones from Manila’s warm lights and Baguio’s cool mountain hues. These contrasts informed the layout’s dynamic interplay between light and shadow, creating a space that feels alive with movement yet grounded in quiet reflection.

Visual assets such as stills and posters became foundational textures, layered subtly behind text and motion elements. This allowed the website to extend the film’s storytelling beyond the screen, with the site’s structure mirroring the narrative flow of a road trip, guiding the viewer through scenes of motion, memory, and introspection.

Colors & Typography

The colors were carefully selected to evoke the rhythm and atmosphere of travel; the bold and contrasting energy of Manila traffic juxtaposed with the stillness of provincial roads.

The typographic system emphasized scale and motion, complementing the full-width imagery used throughout, designed to feel like a cut between scenes, blending narrative pacing with visual exploration.

The Audience

Beyond visual expression, the site was built to serve as An Errand’s digital home. Early in development, the designers mapped user journeys for three main audiences:

Festival programmers, looking for press kits and technical details,

Film enthusiasts, seeking deeper context, schedules, and behind-the-scenes insights, and

Collaborators and press, needing easy access to assets and contacts. This clarity of purpose shaped the site’s hierarchy, balancing aesthetic storytelling with usability and discoverability.

An Errand was completed within a compressed timeline, requiring close collaboration between the design and development team to assure quality and to ensure that the final website not only met its communication goals but also captured the spirit of the film.
